Foods for Healing the Chakras

In my previous post Finding Balance (you can click HERE to read it if you haven’t yet!) I mentioned that a group I am a part of is starting a 30 day cleanse on February 1st. As it draws near, I am becoming ecstatic about the greatness it will bring to my life and the lives of everyone participating. I am already feeling better and we haven’t even actually started yet! I will be posting as much as I can so anybody who is interested can follow along, and even participate!

Nique, my friend and founder of the group, has been working incredibly hard to come up with recipes, workouts, grocery lists, and guidelines for the cleanse. She is on a mission to help this world heal and connect divinely to each other and our source. This cleanse is going to remove a ton of blocks and promote healthy living and divine connection for so many of us. She really is an inspirational being! This post serves as a list of some of the foods that support each chakra. This is just the list that I came up with after a small bit of research. There are plenty of other foods and herbs that I haven’t listed here, so feel free to comment any that I have missed!

Root Chakra (Saturdays)

Red foods & foods that are roots themselves!
Fruits/Berries– Apples, Cherries, Red Grapes, Raspberries, Pomegranate, Watermelon, Strawberries, Cranberries, Red Grapefruit, Plums, Goji Berries

Vegetables– Mushrooms, Carrots, Red Potatoes, Red Onion, Beets, Radishes, Red Cabbage, Tomato, Red Peppers, Parsnips, Garlic

Teas– Dandelion Root, Sage, Elderflower, Ginger

Sacral Chakra (Sundays)

Orange foods, fish, meat, nuts!
Fruits– Peaches, Papaya, Oranges, Apricots, Mangos, Tangerines, Cantaloupe, Passion Fruit, Grapefruit, Bananas, Kiwi, Pineapple, Coconut

Vegetables– Orange Peppers, Carrots, Pumpkin, Sweet Potato
Other- Meats, Salmon, Lobster, Other Fish, Nuts, Nut Butters

Teas– Calendula, Hibiscus


Yellow foods, grains, complex carbohydrates!
Fruits– Lemons, Pineapple, Bananas, Mango, Peaches, Yellow Pears, Yellow Apples

Vegetables– Yellow Squash, Yellow Peppers, Spaghetti Squash, Chick Peas

Other– Dairy, Yellow Granola, Grains, Oats

Teas– Rosemary, Fennel, Cinnamon


Green foods, Leafy veggies, Raw/Natural foods!
Fruits– Green Apples, Limes, Kiwi, Green Grapes

Vegetables– Kale, Broccoli, Spinach, Chard, Parsley, Celery, Cucumber, Zucchini, Avocado, Green Peppers, Asparagus, Peas, Green Beans

Teas– Matcha, Green, Hawthornberry, Rose Petal, Jasmine


Blue and Purple foods, Liquids, Sauces, Soups Tart/Tangy foods
Fruits– Plums, Purple Grapes, Blackberries, Dragonfruit, Elderberries, Black Currants, Blueberries, Prunes, Figs

Vegetables– Purple Cabbage, Eggplant, Sea Plants (Kelp!)

Teas– Red Clover, Lemon Balm, Eucalyptus


Indigo/Dark blue foods, Caffeine, Red Wine, Grape Juice
Fruits– Plums, Purple Grapes, Blackberries, Elderberries, Black Currant, Figs

Vegetables– Purple Asparagus, Purple Peppers, Purple Potatoes, Eggplant

Teas– Mint, Lemon, Jasmine


Purple foods, Sunlight, Fasting Day if you so choose
Fruits– Figs, Purple Grapes, Blueberries, Prunes, Blackberries, Elderberries, Raisins, Plums

Vegetables– Purple Potatoes, Purple Cabbage, Purple Asparagus, Purple Carrots, Eggplant, Purple Peppers

Other– Purified Water and Sunlight are important!

Teas– Lavendar, Lotus Root

💞💞💞 The most important part of the diet side of this cleanse is to try and eat as purely and naturally as possible. Drink plenty of purified water EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. If you have any questions about certain foods or anything, do not hesitate to ask! There are plenty of other things that can be added to this list. This is just a starter.
